Bye Bye Coffee

I am going to do an experiment.  I am wondering if my recent coffee addiction has led to my 4 pound weight gain and stopped my weight loss efforts.  After doing a quick search online, it seems that is is quite possible.  So I am going to do an experiment and try to stop drinking my coffee and see what happens.  I am also going to work on cutting out diet soda as well, but I believe it will be best to start with one so I do not go into shock.

I was also directed to a website, freedieting.com, to help figure out my calorie needs to lose weight.  It seems that I have not been eating enough.  It also suggests a plan of different total calories daily, adding up to the same weekly total, to help prevent or break plateaus.  And I am definitely stuck on the highest plateau.  Still pushing for my end of the year goal.


Not Giving Up!

Today I did not feel at all like exercising. I am starting to feel discouraged at my lack of progress lately and having to work really hard at staying focused. But afterwards I was very glad I did. I even did an extra cardio workout go try and burn off some extra fat.

I keep telling myself to not give up because in the long run it will be worth all my hard work and sacrifices. Eventually I will reach my goal and be the “best me I can be” and will finally be happy with myself. I am going to have to stick it out and work extra hard to break this dreaded plateau I am stuck on.

On a side note, I ended up not losing anything with my 2 Day Fast. That is how stuck I really am!


Day 2 of my 2 Day Fast

Apparently I am meant to eat.  I struggled all day yesterday.  Wound up taking my kids to the park for a couple hours so I couldn’t wonder into the kitchen and gawk at the food I was not allowed to have.

Weight this morning: 136.4lbs


2 Day Fast

Today I am starting my 2 Day Fast to kick start my weight loss and reach my goal of 20 pounds in 3 months.  This is my breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the next 2 days.   I have tried this fast 2 times before and failed, unable to finish due to headaches and unbareable hunger.  This time I have my brother on  my side and hopefully together we can do this!

Oh yes, begining weight: 138.4lbs



Since I had my favorite Chocolate Banana Peanut Butter Shakeology shake post workout I only had a couple calories left so I made a yummy light dinner…a cheese quesadilla with salsa. I used a small 50 calorie wheat tortilla and 1/4 cup shredded taco cheese to make my tortilla. Only 170 calories total for dinner. Now for my favorite evening snack…coffee.



Here it is guys, the start of my new challenge for myself…reach 120lbs by December 31, 2010.



Had to get a new blender today.  Messed up my other one last night.  It just couldn’t handle the ice!  Hope this one lasts longer.


Weightloss Goal

My goal is to get to 120lbs, which means I need to lose almost 20 pounds at this point.  My weight keeps fluctuating within a 5 pound range that I have not been able to break through.  This weekend I am planning on doing Beachbody’s 2 Day fast and hopefully that will do the trick.  Wish me luck!!



This was my dinner tonight. A can of mixed veggies. I know…fresh is better…but it is a step in the right direction. I found it to actually be very good. Gonna be getting more at the store. I decided on a light dinner because of the over snacking on sweets at work today.



My husband made me a big chicken quesadilla for lunch! Delicious…chicken,cheese and tomato with a side of sweet salsa and sour cream. I am gonna be stuffed for the rest of the day.
